All squads will have the opportunity to train outdoors at the Cary Leeds Tennis facility during the Summer season. Our curriculum features up to seven hours of intense daily training over a course of fourteen weeks and two technique analysis field trips. It’s a rich educational experience as well as a lot of safe fun for our juniors. Some of the activities include a week-long interaction at the GHI Classic at Crotona Park and the US Open qualifying rounds at the National Tennis Center.

We recognize that raw talent is best cultivated at an early age. This squad focuses on the beginners and provides juniors with fundamental tennis development skills.

This squad provides juniors with comprehensive tennis development skills including: footwork, racquet preparation and stroking techniques.

This tournament squad provides juniors with comprehensive tournament preparatory skills. Areas covered are: Stroke production, extreme conditioning, dietary and stress management.

Deliberate Practice

Deliberate Practice

In order to supplement training, each player is required to schedule practice and conditioning time. Deliberate practice and conditioning can include any combination of on court play, hitting on the wall, agility ladder drills, running or racquet weight drills. Players are also required to complete their accurate Practice logs and submit them weekly. (Mandatory for all players) Deliberate practice is the only way to keep getting better. These sessions give the players the ability to improve on the skills learned during the week and to develop stamina for match play. Deliberate practice is the path to world-class performance. * Deliberate practice is compulsory for all of our players and must be performed on Saturdays or Sundays depending on the player’s preference.

Intensity 10,000

Intensity 10,000 (i10) is a unit that focuses on the development of elite athletes between the ages of 5 — 11 who have the passion, commitment and willingness to train over a period of 10 years or 10,000 hours in order to be the best.

Training is year round between 45 and 49 weeks; Monday through Friday 5 am — 11 am and Saturday or Sunday 12 pm — 5 pm. i1O is ideal for players who are being home schooled. Although players who are not being Home Schooled will be allowed to leave each day by 7:30 am. This program is offered by invitation and/or recommendation only.

i1O offers a unique mix of advice and support. It includes high performance coaching, fitness training, hitting partners, nutritional advice and career management plans. These players will work with a select group of CCL high performance coaches who will also provide them with off-court fitness training and mentoring.
